Coca Cola x Hatsune Miku Artwork Finally Spotted On Cola Machines



As some of you may recall, there was a contest a short while ago where fans could design an art piece of Hatsune Miku to be featured on Coca Cola machines in Japan. The winner was awarded with a year supply of Coke, along with other goodies.The winning art has finally been spotted in use within Japan on cola machines. Machines marked with the artwork and the Project Diva Arcade logo also have a chance of dispensing a can with a collectable strap/keychain. Each can costs 120 Yen, or roughly $1.50 USD. Cans containing one of the straps will have it held in place at the top under some protective plastic. You can obtain 4 different Crypton characters, including Miku, Len, Rin, and Luka.

The 7th Sapporo International Short Film Festival will be held on September 12-17 in Sapporo-city, Hokkaido. Sapporo is also known as the hometown of the most popular Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku, because Crypton Future Media, the company who created Miku, based in the city. To celebrate her fifth anniversary, the festival will hold a short film contest featuring Vocaloids named "CGM Award presented by SAPPORO Short Fest". "CGM" stands for "Consumer Generated Media". Of course they welcome film creators from all over the world! Please check the guideline if you are interested.

Hatsune Miku, the symbol of CGM, is celebrating her 5th anniversary soon so we hold "CGM Award
presented by SAPPORO Short Fest" to highlight "DOGA-SHI" (video creators).
 All the submitted videos
and films are previewed by the selection committee and some works will be chosen for an official
Hatsune Miku programme of SAPPORO Short Fest 2012. Those videos and films will be screened
at the main theater and a winner of the CGM Grand Prix and two winners of CGM awards will be selected.

We are delighted to support the new movement and talents from Sapporo.

[Submission Regulations]

- VOCALOID software has to be used in the work.

- Copyright has to be clear with illustration and music.

- The length of the video or film has to be within 30 minutes.

- The video or film is published on the website.

- A director or a group of directors can submit only one video or film. 

- Resolution of the video will be more than 1024 x 768 pixels.

- Deadline: July 10th, 2012.
